我國古代的黃土高原曾經(jīng)是美麗富饒的地方，商朝時黃河流域的森林覆蓋率曾高達(dá)50%以上。但是，經(jīng)過幾千年來掠奪式的開發(fā)，大自然給予了無情的報復(fù)?，F(xiàn)在，黃土高原的水土流失地區(qū)到處是荒山禿嶺、溝壑縱橫，黃河——中華民族的"母親河"，竟成為世界上泥沙含量最多的河流。近幾十年來，隨著人口的急劇增長和經(jīng)濟(jì)的高速發(fā)展，人類生產(chǎn)和生活對環(huán)境造成的破壞日益嚴(yán)重，出現(xiàn)了空前的環(huán)境危機(jī)。環(huán)境危機(jī)包括環(huán)境遭到污染，森林、草原和野生動植物等自然資源遭到破壞，以及由此引起的生態(tài)環(huán)境的惡化?，F(xiàn)在，保護(hù)生態(tài)環(huán)境，實現(xiàn)可持續(xù)發(fā)展，已經(jīng)成為全世界緊迫而艱巨的任務(wù)。

一個黑人小孩在他父親的葡萄酒廠看守橡木桶。每天早上，他用抹布將一個個木桶擦干凈，然后一排排地整齊地放好。令他生氣的是，往往一夜之間，風(fēng)就把他排列整齊的木桶吹得東倒西歪。小男孩很委屈地哭了。父親摸著小男孩的頭說："孩子，不要哭，我們可以想辦法去征服風(fēng)。"
